Autumn Jazz brings Manu Delago and Terry Bozzio to Estonia!

Autumn Jazz taking place from 11 September to 3 November will bring the world’s best hang drum player Many Delago and Terry Bozzio’s world’s biggest tuned drum set to Estonia.

The opening concert of Autumn Jazz on 11 September in Kumu auditorium will feature the multiinstrumentalist Manu Delago who is performing his new album ‘Metromonk’. Tha hang drummer Delago plays with Anoushka Shankar, Björk, The Cinematic Orchestra, and he is known also as a composer and an arranger.
 
Autumn Jazz will continue at Philly Joe’s with two special guitar concerts. On 5 October, two like-minded guitarists Andre Maaker from Estonia and Ian Ethan Case from America will play together on two double neck guitars i.e. 32 strings and there are other instruments in their luggage. On 12 October, there will be a performance by the French guitar legend and composer Marc Ducret who is well known to Estonian music fans from his previous visits.

Ahead of the Finno-Ugrian Days on 15 October, Elletuse ensemble will present their new album ‘Ilu sõitis jõge pidi’ (‘Beauty rode along the river’ – en). The new collective sees Liina Saar next to Liisi Koikson. A new special voice in the Estonian vocal jazz scene is undoubtedly Elina Hokkanen who is presenting her new solo programme this autumn.

Bass player Janno Trump who won the Young Jazz Talent 2017 award, will perform his new album on 28 October. His groove orchestra Trump Conception with ten people is also appreciated abroad.
Autumn Jazz will be concluded on 3 November by the drum legend Terry Bozzio from USA. His large drum set allows the master to also play melodies and harmonies. By the way, Bozzio has also participated on 25 Frank Zappa albums and collaborated both in studio and on tour with very many top tier jazz and rock musicians.
