TANGO. Armastuslugu. Kuldsed aastad / TANGO. История любви. Золотые годы
TANGO. A Story of Love. The Golden Years
A production by Marcos Ayala Dance Company (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
18 April – Vanemuise Kontserdimaja, Tartu
19 April – Alexela Kontserdimaja, Tallinn
“TANGO. A Story of Love. The Golden Years” is a love story told through dance.
The performance transports the audience to the golden era of the 1920s and 1930s — a time when tango and jazz became the voice of freedom, individuality, and passion. From Buenos Aires to Harlem, from underground clubs to dazzling concert halls, music and movement recreate the atmosphere of an age in which legends were born.
Under the artistic direction of internationally acclaimed choreographer and dancer Marcos Ayala, the production becomes a vibrant musical and choreographic journey through the era of swing, big bands, underground clubs, tango canción, and milonga. It is a world of light and shadow where every step is filled with emotion, every glance tells a story, and rhythm resonates as the voice of love and freedom.
“TANGO. A Story of Love. The Golden Years” is not only a tribute to tango’s golden age, but also a living dialogue with the present day. The performance reminds us of the power of art to unite cultures, erase borders, and transform human experience into beauty.
