International Festival Ballet — “Swan Lake”
The world’s most iconic ballet comes to the stage performed by the acclaimed International Festival Ballet. Enter the enchanting world of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake — a timeless story of love, deception, and redemption, presented in the finest classical tradition. The legendary choreography of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov takes you from Prince Siegfried’s coming-of-age celebration to a moonlit lake, where he meets Odette, the Swan Queen. Their vow of true love is tested at the royal ball, when Rothbart’s spell brings forth Odile — Odette’s double — and one fatal mistake changes everything. The final scene by the lake is a climax that leaves a lasting emotional resonance.
International Festival Ballet is an acclaimed European touring company with more than 15 years of successful performances across European cities, bringing classical ballet to wide audiences. Known for its precision, musicality, and expressive storytelling, the company features 45 artists, graduates of leading European choreographic schools and academies, including the St. Petersburg Vaganova tradition, the Moscow academic school, and major Ukrainian institutions in Kyiv and Kharkiv.
The cast includes principal artists such as Carlotta Di Monte (Italy/Paris; trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School and La Scala Ballet School) and Daria Ivanenko (Ukraine), alongside celebrated ballerinas including Karyna Shatkovska (Kharkiv, Ukraine). The Artistic Director is Helen Antsupova, a performer with extensive international stage experience and a repertoire of leading roles from the classical canon.
A signature highlight of this production is the live orchestra: Tchaikovsky’s score is performed in the hall in real time, adding depth and grandeur to every scene — from the luminous white swan ensembles to the brilliance of the ballroom and the знаменитый Black Swan sequence. It is an evening where ballet and music merge into one powerful, beautiful, and truly living experience.
