Symphony No.8 Op.93

March 26, 2027, marked the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s passing. Of course, his music is performed daily in concert halls around the world, regardless of major anniversaries. In fact, this Estonian Sinfonietta series grew organically out of conversations with pianists we simply wanted to make music with. It is a complete coincidence that these concerts fall during the season marking the 200-year anniversary of the composer's death, but this milestone ultimately inspired the name of the series.
Jaan Ots serves as the conductor for the series.

HANS CHRISTIAN AAVIK is one of the most prominent Estonian violinists, who has garnered attention both in Estonia and worldwide with his versatile style and distinct sound. In 2022, Hans Christian Aavik received the Annual Award of the Endowment for Music of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia, the prestigious music prize of the Usedom Music Festival in Germany, and the Interpreter of the Year title from the Estonian Association of Professional Musicians.
