Jaak Joala 75 Gala Concert

In June 2025, we celebrated the 75th anniversary of the legendary Estonian singer Jaak Joala. To mark this occasion, four gala concerts were held in November in Tallinn, Pärnu, and Tartu. As these concerts were extremely popular and sold out quickly, we are happy to announce additional shows in April 2026!

These events will honor Jaak Joala's legacy and bridge the gap between the music of the past and today's musical world. Jaak Joala's songs have shaped the lives of an entire generation of Estonians, and his memory lives on in many hearts. To keep this beautiful and melodic musical heritage alive, contemporary artists Koit Toome, Karl-Erik Taukar, Birgit Sarrap, and Jaak Joala's granddaughter Carmen Joala will perform their interpretations of Jaak Joala's timeless hits.

Special guests, including Jaak Joala’s contemporaries Ivo Linna and Tõnis Mägi, will bring an authentic touch of the era through both music and words.

The singers will be accompanied by renowned jazz musician Janno Trump and his ensemble, who will provide fresh arrangements for all the performances:
Janno Trump – bass guitar, Kalle Pilli – guitar, Rain Rämmal – keyboards, Hans Kurvits – drums, Keio Vutt – tenor and baritone saxophones, Mairo Marjamaa – alto and soprano saxophones, Allan Järve – trumpet, Dagmar Oja and Kaire Vilgats – backing vocals.
