In May 2026, Tallinn audiences are in for a unique musical experience – the international jazz ensemble Pete Roth Trio will take the stage at the KUMU Auditorium, featuring the legendary drummer Bill Bruford.

Led by German guitarist and composer Pete Roth, the trio is known for its poetic and energetic musical language. Their sound blends modern jazz, improvisation, and refined soundscapes, creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere at every performance.

Bill Bruford – A Drum Legend
Bill Bruford rose to international fame in the 1970s with the bands Yes and King Crimson. His architectural approach to rhythm, experimental sound palette, and constant pushing of musical boundaries have made him one of the most influential drummers in rock and jazz history. Later, he founded the band Earthworks, where he innovatively fused progressive rock with modern jazz. Bruford is also a respected composer whose work is recognized worldwide.

The concert will feature original compositions by Pete Roth, along with improvisations from the fusion classics, specially adapted for the trio format. Improvisation and musical freedom give each piece a unique spirit. This is an event that merges the energy of progressive rock with the poetic subtlety of contemporary jazz.
