This summer, within the ancient walls of Haapsalu Episcopal Castle, audiences can experience the spectacular production The White Lady Legend, which premiered in 2025.

The tragic love story of the White Lady is considered one of Estonia’s most famous legends, having haunted Haapsalu’s old town for centuries and captivated generations of visitors.

Set in a historic environment, the production combines visual theatre, acrobatics, and renowned works of world rock music, bringing to life a story of love, prohibition, and longing. The leading roles are performed by acrobats whose collaboration creates a multilayered spectacle on stage. The performance features striking choreography, live music, and magical lighting effects to create an atmosphere rooted in the mystique of the legend while speaking to universal human longing and the choices we make. It is at once powerful and delicate, mystical and deeply engaging—an experience that lingers in the mind, much like the White Lady herself.

The production also features T-Stuudio, a youth dance company from Haapsalu, which celebrates its 26th anniversary this year.

The White Lady is created by the team behind the light theatre festival ÖÖvalgel and the T-Stuudio dance school.
