VOCES8 & Pétur Sakari - Christmas Carols

The British ensemble VOCES8, one of the world’s most acclaimed vocal groups, returns to Tallinn, this time together with the virtuoso organist Pétur Sakari. Their previous Scandinavian concert tour was sold out and became, among other things, a sensation in the Finnish music scene.

The concert at Kaarli Church is part of their Christmas tour of some of the most important cathedrals in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Pétur Sakari is the ensemble’s trusted organist, and his international virtuosity and exceptional sensitivity perfectly complement VOCES8’s remarkably unified sound.

The programme takes the listener from the British Christmas tradition to the gems of the Renaissance and Baroque, as well as to Romantic works and moving contemporary compositions. The European cathedral acoustics of Kaarli Church create a unique and timeless atmosphere for the concert.
