Mikhail Danchenko began playing the piano at the age of six at the Kyiv Lysenko Secondary Specialized Music School in Natalia Gridneva's class. At age 11, he gave his first solo philharmonic concert, and at 12, he performed with an orchestra for the first time, performing Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1.

After winning the Vladimir Krainev International Competition, Mikhail Danchenko began studying with the renowned pianist at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover, Germany, graduating in 2006.

Mikhail Danchenko is a laureate of several international competitions, including the Busoni Competition in Italy (3rd prize), the Cliburn Competition in the USA (special jury prize), and the Rina Sala Gallo Competition in Monza, Italy (2nd prize). Today, he lives and works in Germany, performing in the world's finest concert halls at prestigious music festivals.
