Programme:
Rasmus Puur's arrangements of Estonian choral classics: Saar, Kõrvits, Tubin, Pärt, Kõlar, etc.
To celebrate Estonia's Independence Day, one of the most prominent pianists of his generation, Sten Heinoja, joins forces with the Vanalinna Hariduskolleegium (VHK) String Orchestra under conductor Rasmus Puur for three evening performances in Tallinn, Tartu, and Pärnu. This highly anticipated collaboration brings a long-planned musical partnership to fruition. Through the works of Estonia's own composers, the program offers both unexpected discoveries and familiar masterpieces, weaving together a musical reflection on home, heritage, the present day, and the future.
