March 26, 2027, marks the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s passing. Of course, his music is performed daily in concert halls around the world, regardless of major anniversaries. In fact, this Estonian Sinfonietta series grew organically out of conversations with pianists we simply wanted to make music with. It is a complete coincidence that these concerts fall during the season marking the 200-year anniversary of the composer's death, but this milestone ultimately inspired the name of the series.
Jaan Ots serve as the conductor for the series.

 

Charismatic and versatile, JOHAN RANDVERE is recognized as one of the brightest stars among the younger generation of Estonian pianists. Equally at home as a soloist and a chamber musician, he has performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. Randvere has given concerts across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, the Netherlands, Italy, Belarus, Russia, and the United States. As a soloist, he has collaborated with numerous orchestras, under the baton of esteemed conductors. Johan Randvere has achieved notable success in both national and international competitions. A passionate chamber musician, he regularly performs with some of Estonia’s most distinguished artists. Randvere studied at the Tallinn Music High School and the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, studying under Professor Ivari Ilja. In addition to his concert career, Johan is also a television host and presents a highly popular radio program about pianists “Black Key, White Key” on Estonian Classical Radio.
