Two cornerstones of Estonian musical culture – the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and conductor Tõnu Kaljuste – present a concert in Haapsalu featuring works by two giants of the musical world. Excerpts from Rachmaninoff’s “All-Night Vigil” and choral works by Arvo Pärt will be performed. The programme intertwines the profound spirituality and lush sonority of the Russian Orthodox choral tradition with Pärt’s pure and restrained musical language.
