Austrian electronic music duo Klangkarussell are known for their cinematic soundscapes and global hits. Now, local audiences will have the chance to lose themselves in their extraordinary live show on April 18, 2026, at D3 in Tallinn. Their breakthrough hit “Sonnentanz” remains one of the most recognisable electronic tracks of the past decade, making their upcoming Estonian performance a truly unforgettable experience.

Formed by longtime friends Adrian Held and Tobias Rieser, Klangkarussell (German for “Sound Carousel”) first made waves in 2012 with their atmospheric debut single “Sonnentanz”, which soared into the top 10 in six countries and became an iconic track in the electronic scene. But their story didn’t start in the clubs – it began in a classroom.

“Well, we went to school together about 25 years ago, then lost contact for a bit and met again in Summer 2012,” they explain. “We reflected on our lives, thought about what we wanted to do. We both wanted to do music, so we tried that.”

Now, thirteen years and 2 billion streams later, Klangkarussell are fiercely independent – they run their own production label, Bias Beach Records, and continue to release emotionally rich tracks that blur the lines between the dancefloor and the dreamworld. How do they describe their signature sound? “Warm, lush, spacious, mellow and a little melancholic,” they’ve said.

Their latest album Petrichor dropped in early November 2025. Known for their collaborative spirit, Klangkarussell’s newest record features tracks with various artists including blazey, GIVVEN, Bloom Twins and more. “We wanted this album to feel like a journey through our world - the highs, the struggles, the quiet moments, the big ones,” the duo explain. “Petrichor is about renewal, about finding beauty in change, just like the smell of rain after a storm.”

With their DJ sets, Klangkarussell have performed at acclaimed venues and festivals such as XOYO and Phonox, reaching audiences across countries from Colombia to France. Their music has resonated directly with listeners around the globe.

The 2026 live tour marks another milestone in Klangkarussell’s ever-expanding universe. “To us, having our own record label and being completely independent feels like the biggest achievement,” they say. Their show in Tallinn this April will be a vibrant reflection of that vision.
