Berlioz. Symphonie fantastique, transcription for piano by Liszt
Vadym Kholodenko is one of the most distinctive pianists of our time, often regarded by critics as a performer who plays without a safety net due to his uncompromising approach and willingness to take risks. In December 2024, Bachtrack noted that Kholodenko is as captivated by the music as the music is by him, describing his performance as a hypnotic journey. Reviewers have also highlighted his incredible left-hand technique and the ability to evoke an orchestral sound from the piano—a quality particularly evident in his delivery of the grand Liszt arrangements featured in this programme.
Duration: approximately 2 hours (with one interval)
