Cavalera: CHAOS A.D.

 

On 26 June, CAVALERA will take the stage at Helitehas - brothers Max Cavalera and Iggor Cavalera, founding members of the Brazilian metal band Sepultura and two names whose influence on the history of metal music has been exceptional. Max was Sepultura’s vocalist-guitarist in the band’s early years, while Iggor was the band’s drummer; now they are bringing that legacy back to the stage under their own name. Ticket pre-sale begins at Piletilevi on 30 April at 10:00.

 

The Tallinn concert will focus on Sepultura’s fifth studio album, “Chaos A.D.”, released in 1993 - a work that permanently changed the sound of 1990s metal. It is the album that gave the world immortal tracks such as “Refuse/Resist”, “Territory”, “Slave New World” and “Propaganda” - metal anthems that still sound just as furious, threatening and relevant today as they did upon release.

 

“Chaos A.D.” is not merely a classic, but a manifesto - a raw, angry and uncompromising album that gave voice to resistance and discontent. When “Refuse/Resist” or “Territory” ring out, they do not feel like memories from the past, but like a message that is still alive and dangerously sharp. This is what makes the CAVALERA concert far more than a nostalgia stop - it is the return of a landmark work from an era, brought back to the stage in all its original force.
