New Latvian ballet theater “Miracle”, after first  succesful performances in Riga and other Latvian cities, presents its ballet “Lullaby Magic” in Tallinn, Merekeskus Hall.

About us

Ballet Theater “Miracle” is a dance group founded by choreographer Irina Shemyakina. The troupe consists of professional ballet dancers, who create stories told by universal dance language. Our theater presents dance performances for all ages and utilizes a unique "black theater" technique. This technique creates a surreal spectacle where objects and people freely float in the dark space. The combination of the "black theater" effect, the universal language of dance, an engaging storyline, and vivid imagery immerses audiences of all ages in a fairy tale, showing that anything is possible in the theater.

Performance

Lullaby Magic is a fairytale ballet for the whole family. The play is based on a simple story: mother sings a lullaby; the girl falls asleep and sees a wonderful dream. There her mother turns into a fairy, the toys come to life and the girl, along with a doll, a clown and a fakir takes a toy train to a wonderful circus. In the circus, butterfly acrobats fly, a horse dances tarantella, a fakir hypnotizes a snake, a clown gifts his heart to a girl, and many other miracles happen!

The duration of the performance is 1 hour (without intermission).

About “Black light theater”

The uniqueness of our performance is the use of the "black light theatre" technique. This technique originated in ancient times, was gradually improved, and now the performances of the black light theatre look incredibly magical and improbable. For that effect is used  a simple optical illusion - black is not visible on black, black objects are not visible in the mysterious darkness of the scene. Add to this the use of special fluorescent fabrics, paints and ultraviolet lamps and the effect is enhanced many times. And we see objects floating freely in the air before our eyes, fantastic figures and characters appear and disappear again in the dark. We can make something visible and something invisible at will. In our performance, we use this technique not only for the sake of a spectacular trick, but also to make the fabulous story even more wonderful, justifying the name of the theater "Miracle".

Who the performance is for.

We address our dance performance to the whole family, but first of all to children who find it difficult to sit through multi-act ballets and are not very interested in watching abstract dances. In our performance, everything is subordinated to a simple plot, which is understandable without words even to small children. And adults, it seems to us, have the opportunity to search for new meanings and, of course, immerse themselves in a fairy tale, believing in miracles again, this is so necessary in our difficult times.
