This programme weaves together works by three distinct composers. The poetic "Between Tides" by Japanese composer Tōru Takemitsu is framed by the powerful and passionate trios of two Romantic masters, Johannes Brahms and Robert Schumann. The evening concludes with the brilliant finale of the Schumann trio. Adding a fresh Estonian perspective is a new work by Jüri Reinvere, which creates a meaningful bridge between Romantic tradition and contemporary composition.
Trio ’95 is a laureate of the Brahms Chamber Music Competition and first appeared on the professional stage at the Estonia Concert Hall in 2013.
