Short introduction of the performers:

Marion Melnik – soprano

A lyrical soprano with a radiant timbre whose repertoire ranges from opera and lied to musicals and classical crossover. She graduated from the Opera Programme of the Sibelius Academy (2008) and has furthered her training in international masterclasses.

Melnik has performed as a soloist at the Finnish National Opera, the Savonlinna Opera Festival, and the Estonian National Opera.

She has received recognition at several competitions (2nd prize in Lappeenranta 2006; Klassik Mania in Vienna) and has appeared as a soloist with orchestras such as the RSO and Tampere Philharmonic. Since 2018 she has lived and worked in Estonia and leads the classical singing studio Canto (founded in 2023).

Maris Tammsalu

is an Estonian organist who completed her bachelor’s degree (1999) and master’s degree (2003) at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre under professors Hugo Lepnurm, Toomas Trass and Andres Uibo. She has pursued further studies at the Gothenburg Organ Academy and Trondheim baroque organ courses.

Tammsalu has performed as a soloist and chamber musician both in Estonia and abroad and works as an organist at St John’s Church in Tallinn, the Swedish St Michael’s congregation in Tallinn, and the Paldiski congregation.
