Nina and her little sister Miki are sent to spend the summer in the countryside with their father, who left their family a year ago. Far from the city and her friends, Nina feels alienated from her father, but she reconnects with her childhood friend Kamil. Together, they rescue chained animals, growing increasingly close in the process. At the same time, the father tries to reconnect with his daughters, and Miki struggles with her identity. Over the summer, Nina faces love, betrayal and growing up. Painful events eventually force her to forgive her father and find clarity within herself. "Liquid States" is a tender and liberating summer tale about youth, family and finding oneself. Suitable for ages 14 and above.
