Faroe Islands metal legend Týr to perform in Tallinn in December
On 19 December, Faroe Islands melodic folk metal heavyweight Týr will perform at Helitehas in Tallinn as part of their European tour, “Valhalla Calling Europe Tour”. The evening’s special guests will be Swedish symphonic power metal bands Twilight Force and Dragonland, as well as rising Dutch folk metal act Vanaheim. Tickets go on general sale via Piletilevi on 19 June.
For more than two decades, Týr has stood among Europe’s most distinctive and recognisable folk metal bands. Hailing from the Faroe Islands, the group is known for its Nordic mythology, epic melodies, powerful riffs and unmistakable sound, bringing heavy music and traditional heritage together into a single forceful whole.
The “Valhalla Calling Europe Tour” follows the upcoming release of the band’s self-titled tenth studio album, marking the beginning of a new chapter for Týr. After a successful run on the Paganfest 2025 tour, the band returned to the Faroe Islands to focus on writing and recording new material. Across Europe, audiences will have the chance to hear these new songs live for the very first time, alongside the epic anthems that have cemented Týr’s position as one of the leading names in modern folk metal.
The Tallinn concert will also stand out thanks to its strong international line-up. Sweden’s Twilight Force will bring symphonic power metal to the stage in its most traditional form – fast guitar riffs, soaring melodies and the full energy of a fantasy world. Also from Sweden, Dragonland is a long-running name in power metal, known for powerful choruses, melodic keyboard passages and high fantasy-inspired storytelling. The evening will be opened by Dutch folk metal band Vanaheim, whose music is epic, atmospheric and heavy all at once.
Tickets for Týr’s Tallinn concert go on general sale via Piletilevi on 19 June at 11:00.
