80 years of triumph — anniversary tour of the legendary Georgian National Ballet “Sukhishvili”!

In the spring of 2026, we will celebrate the triumph of art, spirit and unwavering energy: after celebrating its 80th anniversary, the Georgian National Ballet “Sukhishvili” will embark on a grand world tour. In the USA, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, the Baltic States and other countries, you can enjoy a unique anniversary program — the best numbers selected from the rich history of the ensemble, which embody perfection and mastery and have made “Sukhishvili” a cultural calling card of Georgia on the world stages.

For eight decades, “Sukhishvili” has captivated the hearts of millions of viewers, performing on the most prestigious stages of the world — from the Metropolitan Opera in New York to La Scala in Milan. The press has described them as “the eighth wonder of the world” (The New York Times), “a whirlwind on stage” (Daily Telegraph), and “an energy that brings the entire hall to its toes” (Le Figaro). All these descriptions convey one clear message: “Sukhishvili” is a completely unique phenomenon in the world.

A captivating spectacle full of energy and beauty

The anniversary program is a real fireworks display of emotions: the virtuoso dances of the men, full of acrobatics, jumps and spinning swords, take the audience breathless with delight, while the women’s dance captivates everyone with its grace and dignity. The symbol of the ensemble is still the unique men’s toe dance – a trademark of the Sukhishvili brand that other performers cannot imitate.

“Dance is a language, it is the story of my country, its traditions and soul. It is the calling card of Georgia,” says the founder of the ensemble, Nino Sukhishvili.

In addition to the dance experience, the audience is treated to a visual feast: the performers’ costumes are made of natural fabrics and decorated with silk embroidery, precious stones and metal details. The ensemble’s live orchestra creates a rich sound world using rare national instruments and ancient performance techniques that have been carefully passed down from generation to generation.

80 years of legendary ballet

The Georgian National Ballet “Sukhishvili” was founded in 1945 by Iliko and Nino Sukhishvili. Today, the ensemble is led by the third generation — the grandchildren of the founders. The family has preserved and developed traditions, making “Sukhishvili” a symbol of Georgia’s artistic and cultural heritage.

80 years of history mean recognition by millions of fans, tens of thousands of concerts, performances in more than a hundred countries on five continents and on stages where only the best can perform. The “Sukhishvili” ballet has forever immortalized its name in the world’s cultural history.

The anniversary tour is not just a series of concerts — it is a true celebration where history, national pride and extraordinary vitality meet and which will remain in the hearts of the audience for a long time.
