Pop-soul diva Imany will perform at the Alexela Concert Hall on 28 November
On 28 November, Imany, the author of the super hit ‘Don’t Be So Shy’, will perform at Alexela Concert Hall. The French pop-soul diva will perform in Estonia with the programme ‘Voodoo Cello’, bringing to the stage a spectacular show, in which she will perform alongside eight cellos. A limited number of tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on 19 April in sales points of Piletilevi all over Estonia.
‘Voodoo Cello’ brings together eight cellos and a singer on one stage, performing iconic hits of pop music. The eight cellos offer many options between low and high notes, and the music can sound truly haunting. Imany uses this bewitching magic to perform well-known pop songs like voodoo spells. That is why the name of the concert is ‘Voodoo Cello’.
Imany is the director of the show and arranger of all the songs. The artist brings to Tallinn her original spectacular light show, which she has not used on her previous tours.
The concert performance ‘Voodoo Cello’ was born between two tours. The aim was to put herself in danger and to escape her past. After a decade and hundreds of performances around the world in a classic pop band, Imany wanted to express herself differently, using the words of other people. With the works of Bob Marley, Ed Sheeran, Hozier, Radiohead, and many contemporary artists, she manages to do so beautifully.
Imany was born near Marseille, France. She found her way to singing in 2008, performing on small stages in Paris. Her breakthrough arrived in 2016 with the single ‘Don’t Be So Shy’, which quickly made its way to the top of the radio charts.
A limited number of tickets for the Imany concert at a price of 38 euros will go on sale in sales points of Piletilevi all over Estonia on 19 April at 10 a.m. There are no age restrictions for the concert.
