The original première of Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville” was a failure due to the loud chorus of whistles from the supporters of a rival of the composer Giovanni Paisiello. Nevertheless, “The Barber of Seville” has withstood the test of time and still remains part of the repertoire of opera houses worldwide.
The witty short version of Rossini’s opera is staged by Ain Anger (from Kihelkonna) and friends.
Without intermission, duration 1,15h
In cooperation with Ooperiga Söbraks NGO
