SATURDAY 12.08

On Saturday, the festival programme starts at ten in the morning and lasts until half past three Sunday morning. The first concert on the Main Stage begins at 16:00 with the performance of Eabhal - a group of five young musicians from Scotland who have been nominated for numerous traditional music awards. At 19:00 the Main Stage will be Seth Lakeman’s, who is considered to be one of the best British folk singers. Saturday’s last performer on the main stage is Dagö who will be celebrating its 25th birthday with a grandiose performance together with the mixed choir Tuljak and the Saku Mandolin Orchestra.

On Vinter’s Stage we will see representatives of different nations on Saturday. Amongst them Dave Arcari - the renowned blues troubadour from Scotland. whose performance starts at 14:30, and the sensual Maili Metssalu with her band at 23:45.

On the Forest Swing Ground, two accordion kings will be playing for dance - Richard Ott Leitham at 14:30 and Toomas Ojasaar at 19:00. A night concert will be performed by the playful and ingenious musician Silver Sepp and the ethereal poet Kristiina Ehin. 

The Community Centre will also be filled with music throughout the day, Helsinki Cèilidh Band invites festival-goers to dance to Irish and Scottish dance music, Eva Väljaots & Robbie Sherratt will present their new album, and Rubundi will give a delightfully  jazzy concert.

Also, keep your eyes peeled for concerts in the church, on the lighthouse stage, in the jamming tent, etc. The day ends with a night dance party at Restaurant Kaspervik with Duo Vares from Haapsalu.
