Viru Folk 2023 / Festivalipass
For 15 years Viru Folk has been offering its visitors beautiful emotions, versatile Nordic music, exquisite nature, and the experience of enjoying life in this lovely captains’ village called Käsmu. The sixteenth festival year (11-13.08. 2023) is dedicated to the British Isles.
The first foreign artist we are happy to announce is the Scottish shanty-star NATHAN EVANS.
As far as local artists are concerned, we can already reveal more performers.
Estonian folk-rock band DAGÖ will be celebrating its 25th birthday with a grandiose performance together with the mixed choir Tuljak and the Saku Mandolin Orchestra.
A tribute concert to the Irish legend The Dubliners will be given by UNTSAKAD & friends, we can see good old JÄÄÄÄR again, and the crowned Lõõtsakuningad will also lend some of their royal grace to the festival.
For the first time in Viru Folk’s history we can see jazz-folk band RUBUNDI and the Estonian zither-vocal duo that has been gaining international recognition recently - DUO RUUT - who will be adding a tender feminine touch to the programme.
