The career of Nathan “Welleman” Evans from Scotland can be compared to that of Contra - a renowned and loved poet  from Estonia. Both are postmen who rose to fame almost overnight. Nathan’s popularity is, however, international. The New-Zealand shore whalers’ song “Wellerman”  that made him popular all over the world has more than 200 million views on Youtube and over 50 million streams on Spotify. His single was number one in the charts of the UK and numerous other countries. In Estonia, too, grown-ups and children like to sing this song and dance the special Wellerman dance.

And now the biggest sea shanty star Nathan Evans is scheduled to perform in the Käsmu Captains’ Village. It will happen on Friday, 11.08 at 22.00 on the main stage. If you cannot find the time to enjoy the whole festival, you can buy a ticket to just this amazing concert!
