Eating disorders have become the most common mental health problem among teenage girls and young women in recent decades. Anorexia is one of the leading causes of death among young women in Europe. Eating disorders often plague "the best", whose desire for perfection can become self-destructive. Although eating disorders are called "good girl diseases", in recent years, young men, among whom gym addiction is spreading, combined with some eating disorders, are also becoming ill.
The project "Perfect" is part of the main program of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024, inspired by the idea of the Arts of Survival.
The play combines several generations, several art fields, several visions of perfection and several eating disorders. This is the story of a family, where great expectations for oneself and life, great goals, great willpower, great desire for love and life-threatening eating disorders caused by all of the above have been passed down from generation to generation. The mother and two daughters are looking for a way out of these inherited patterns and ways to heal, and they also find support from each other.

The project is primarily aimed at young people of elementary school and high school age, as well as their relatives and teachers, in order to draw attention to the causes of eating disorders and treatment options. Although the subject is serious, our production is hopefully  not entirely gloomy.
The activities of the European capital of culture are supported by A. Le Coq, Delfi, Top Auto and Lux Express.
