Unique multimedia show ‘Classics in the Dark’ premieres in Estonia!

‘Classics in The Dark’ premiers in Estonia on 27 April in Nordea Concert Hall.

‘Classics in the Dark’ is a multimedia show created in 2016 by the St. Petersburg Planetarium, which brings together 3D graphics and masterpieces of classical music. The show is performed in a concert hall turned into outer space with the help of modern technology, giving every listener an opportunity to open their own universe. Such perfect installations require perfect musicians, which is why the musical pieces are performed by top soloists and the orchestra ‘Virtuosos of St. Petersburg’.

All ‘Classics in the Dark’ concerts in St. Petersburg were sold out. The tickets were out long before the performance dates and because of the intense interest of the audience, it was decided to continue with the project. Eugenia Zima, artistic director of ‘Classics in the Dark’, has brought the programme to the big stage. In St. Petersburg’s 3500-seat Grand Concert Hall Oktyabrsky, the masterpieces of Vivaldi, Bach, Verdi, Bellini, Foret, Ravel, Piazzolla, and others were performed in the darkness.

Performers: the orchestra ‘Virtuosos of St. Petersburg’, soloists Maria Litke (soprano of the Mikhailovsky Theatre) and Roman Arndt (tenor of the Mariinsky Theatre), Alex Strelko (laureate of international contests, saxophone), Jevgeny Krasilnikov (Indian sarod), Arthur Bochkivsky (guitar).
Author of the concept and artistic director – Eugenia Zima

Tickets from 34 euros are available at all points of sale of Piletilevi.
