Beautiful experience of chamber music
Chamber music tradition, born in the courts and salons, gives the audience an opportunity to listen to music in a more intimate environment and creates a special bond between the listeners and musicians. 117th season introduces a series of chamber concerts of beautiful music both from international and Estonian composers.
Curator of the chamber concerts series is Jaanika Rand-Sirp.
MUSIC FOR ESTONIA
February 22, 2024 in the Chamber Hall of the Estonian National Opera
Just before the Independence Day of Estonia, we will perform works by Estonian composers. You will hear “Music for Oboe” Op. 35 and “Five Romances to Poems of Sándor Petöfi” Op. 4 by Eino Tamberg, songs by Mart Saar, “Epigrams” for solo voice and piano by René Eespere as well as pieces by Heino Eller and Rein Rannap. Soloists: Helen Lokuta (mezzo-soprano), Tamar Nugis (baritone), Francesco Ciarmatori (oboe), accompanied by Tarmo Eespere on the piano.
