Music industry’s rising star Matteo Bocelli coming to Estonia for the first time
Matteo Bocelli, son of renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli, will perform for the first time in Estonia. The musician will be introducing his debut album with the “A Night With Matteo” tour on the 16th of June at Alexela Concert Hall.
The young singer and composer Matteo Bocelli is visiting America and Europe with his tour “A Night With Matteo”, during which he will give a concert at Tallinn’s Alexela Concert Hall. The tour introduces the musician’s debut album “Matteo”, which was released last year.
Matteo has received an extensive musical education from the Conservatory of Music in Lucca, Italy, where he studied singing and piano. Matteo grew up surrounded by classical music, but has also been strongly influenced by Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston and considers Ed Sheeran as his idol. Matteo’s debut album includes a song written by Sheeran, called “Chasing Stars”, which demonstrates the range of Matteo’s voice. “I love the finished version with Matteo, he’s such a talent. I hope everyone else enjoys it!” Sheeran describes the song.
Matteo’s beautiful voice attracted a larger audience in the year 2018 with the song “Fall on Me”, where he sings a duet with his father Andrea Bocelli. The song that tells the story of the relationship between a father and son, has amassed over 400 million global streams. In 2020, Matteo released his catchy first single “Solo”, in which he combines the elements of classical arias and trendy pop songs. In 2022, Matteo made his film debut playing alongside Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton in “Three Thousand Years of Longing”. The film’s soundtrack includes Matteo’s co-written song “Cautionary Tale”, that he also sings in.
Matteo Bocelli’s concerts can be characterised as a journey through many musical genres. Moving from classical music to pleasant Italian pop to his interpretations of famous songs with pure ease, the songs are backed by his fine, distinctive voice. Matteo’s stage presence is natural and open, and he enjoys the relaxed interactions with his audience.
