Ensemble U: and friends with their best moments over two decades.

“Ansambel U:” is the most active and best-known performer of new music in Estonia. The group has been operating for two decades and can be characterised by its delicate sound, a desire to experiment, and having the courage to perform extremely demanding pieces. Performing without a conductor, Ensemble U: interprets classic pieces of new music, as well as experimental pieces.

One of the ensemble’s main directions is in performing pieces which call for improvisation and interpretation of untraditional notations. Its repertoire includes Estonian music, as well as works which have been commissioned by foreign composers.
