ICELANDIC SINGER DADÍ FREYR TO PERFORM IN RIGA

Groovy melodies, catchy lyrics, and genuine simplicity – these are the words that best describe Icelandic pop culture phenomenon and multi-instrumentalist Daði Freyr, who will perform at the Palladium concert hall in Riga on October 3. Tickets go on sale April 25 at 10:00 AM via the “Biļešu Serviss” network. Members of the FBI and Positivus Festival concert clubs will have early access starting April 24 at 10:00 AM using a code that will be sent to registered users.

Daði Freyr rose to fame in 2020 with his Eurovision entry “Think About Things.” The following year, he returned to the Eurovision stage with the track “10 Years,” securing 4th place and cementing his status as a true pop culture sensation. He has since amassed over 200 million streams on Spotify and has sold out shows across Europe and the U.S.

In addition to songwriting and producing, Daði is also heavily involved in creating his own music videos, known for their playful and unique style. His modern yet personal approach blends electronic pop with heartfelt lyrics and is often accompanied by visually creative expressions full of irony, nostalgia, and bold aesthetics. His distinctive creative signature resonates strongly with today’s audiences, who appreciate both originality and authenticity.

Daði isn’t shy about covering songs by other artists, reimagining them in his own arrangements. These include pop hits from artists like Atomic Kitten, Lil Nas X, Haddaway, and Sting – as well as unexpected surprises, such as a cover of “JaJa Ding Dong” from the Hollywood comedy about Eurovision, which follows Iceland’s journey" to the big stage.

His debut full-length album “I Made An Album”, released in 2023, showcases Daði’s creative freedom and musical versatility. The record is steeped in disco, house, and cold-wave vibes and has received critical acclaim from fans and reviewers worldwide.

In his only concert in the Baltics, Daði will perform at Palladium Riga, delivering a set that includes fan favorites like “10 Years,” “Think About Things,” and “Whole Again,” along with tracks from his upcoming album – including the latest single, “I Don’t Wanna Talk.”
