ARSIS EASTER CONCERTS

Performers: Arsis Handbell Ensemble and organist Kristel Aer.

At the Arsis Easter Concerts, handbells and organ come together in a rare and captivating combination, creating a truly unique musical atmosphere.

On April 4–5 in Tapa, Keila, and Tallinn, the air will be filled with music for Holy Week, gently touching both ear and heart. The programme features masterpieces of world classical music by composers such as Antonio Vivaldi, Johann Sebastian Bach, Frédéric Chopin, and Claude Debussy, among others.

The audience will hear specially arranged works for handbells, original compositions for organ, as well as joint performances by both instruments.

Arsis Artistic Director Aivar Mäe comments: “In this year’s concert series, we have chosen music that reflects the spirit of Easter Week – it is bright, profound, and contemplative.”

Organist Kristel Aer and the Arsis Handbell Ensemble have been collaborating since the Easter music concert series was launched in 2022. This rare combination has received a warm response from audiences and has become a beloved tradition.

Concerts will take place:

April 4 at 7:00 PM – Tapa St. Jacob’s Church
April 5 at 3:00 PM – Keila St. Michael’s Church
April 5 at 7:00 PM – St. John’s Church, Tallinn
