After the triumph of "Death Race 2000" (1975), Roger Corman's New World Pictures brought back David Carradine to star in this spiritual sequel full of dystopian vibes and a killer supporting cast of grizzled baddies. Carradine plays a futuristic racer conscripted into deadly sports for the bloodthirsty masses, Richard Lynch ("The Sword and the Sorcerer"), one of the all-time character actor bad guys, is his nemesis on the "destructocycle" and Claudia Jennings ("Gator Bait", "Unholy Rollers") is along for the lethal ride.
