On December 21, the Tondiraba Jäähall will host the premiere of a spectacular new ice show for the whole family — “The Wizard in the Land of Dreams”, also known as “The Wizard in Oz” featuring a constellation of brilliant and award-winning figure skaters from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. The creators and producers of the show are the same team behind “Thumbelina”, the ice performance that enjoyed great success last year at Tondiraba Jäähall Tallinn, Xiaomi Arēna Riga and other venues across Europe.

This heartwarming story, inspired by the famous tale “The Wizard of the Emerald City” by Alexander Volkov, will be reimagined on ice: Ellie and her faithful dog Toto, the charming Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion, mysterious fairies, and of course the enigmatic Wizard will come to life on the rink. Together with the heroes, the audience will embark on a magical journey through the Land of Dreams — a place where wishes come true.

“The Wizard in the Land of Dreams” is a visually stunning musical-theatrical production brought to life by a large creative team from Latvia — choreographers, artists, set designers, costume designers, composers, and specialists in lighting and special effects. Every detail — from the set design to the music — contributes to a magical atmosphere that will captivate both children and adults.

The ice performance will feature 24 world-class figure skaters — participants of World and European Championships, winners and laureates of various international competitions — as well as acrobats, aerial gymnasts, and other performers from Latvia and the Baltic States.

Audiences can expect a display of extraordinary technical skill and artistic expression: complex lifts, spins, jumps, spectacular death spirals, and graceful synchronized duets. The magic will extend beyond the ice, with dazzling aerial acrobatics under the arena dome enhancing the enchanting atmosphere of the performance.

“The Wizard in the Land of Dreams” is a vibrant cultural event designed for audiences of all ages. The show will be a perfect addition to the holiday season and a wonderful family entertainment experience.

The performance will be held in Estonian and Russian.
