Meanwhile, KIT’25 will feature a special keynote by Ola Melzig (Sweden) – Eurovision Song Contest Technical Director, who has overseen technical production for 16 Eurovisions. Melzig is one of the most recognized names in live music production, having delivered world-class stage, video, and lighting solutions not only for Eurovision but also for major global events such as the 2010 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony in New Delhi and the 2015 European Games closing ceremony in Baku. His innovative approach and humor have made him a phenomenon in the field.
Following his keynote, KIT’25 will host a panel discussion “Culture & Money – Support, Dependence or Partnership?” with Latvian event producers. The debate will address how public money is spent, how the private sector balances between state funding and private investment, and the challenges of coexisting with municipality-organized free events. The aim is to seek solutions for building a balanced cultural ecosystem. Panelists include: Aija Auškāpa (Brainstorm record company), Ģirts Majors (Positivus Music & Positivus Festival), Gints Putniņš (L Tips Agency), Uldis Pabērzis (Summer Sound Festival), and Edžus Arums (producer of “Dziesma Dejo. Deja Skan”).
KIT’25 – “Culture. Industry. Technology.” – is a creative industries forum created by Company NA, serving as a communication platform for Latvian and international professionals to exchange ideas, inspire new visions, and strengthen professionalism and industry development.
