Seto leelokoor ja gongid. Meditatiivne kontsert-tseremoonia
MEDITATIVE CONCERT-CEREMONY
Unique concert-ceremony where meet gongs and folk music - seto leelo.
On this trip we can experience the touching power of folk music and heavenly sound through gong vibrations.
Seto leelo is a polyphonic runic-versed folk song sung by the Setos. It is thought to be at least 2000 years old and has been preserved as an oral singing tradition to this day.
This concert-ceremony is on one hand a meditative journey and on the other hand leads us to enjoy the paths of cultural heritage.
Gong- The gong is essentially an idiophone, producing what is known as natural white noise, accompanied by a wide spectrum harmonic overtones, subtle almoust inaudible high frequency sounds that accompany the fundamental tone.
The sound waves inderact and flow together, creating new, complect tones that make sounds spatial and unpredictable- so much so that the human mind can not anticipate. This is why during gong meditation people often hearing bells, drums, harps, horns, or even human voices or entite choir- it is our searching counciosness trying to define and interpret the sound it perceives.
This experience is deeply connected our personal perception of sound. When the gong resonates so called combination tones are formed, not in the instrument, but within our own auditory system.
These combinated tones are responsible for the dual perception of sound and are concidered acoustic specialists to be a true phenomen.
