A video of a student threatening his classmates is circulating in a German school. Seeking refuge from a society that watches them but never really sees them, three teenagers flee to a nearby forest. Away from expectations and labels, they get to know each other, and innocent games turn into dark rituals that completely redraw the boundaries between the three friends. The film, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, sensitively explores contemporary violence and radicalisation, but also the desire to connect with others and to belong somewhere.
