House of the Blackheads
The international orchestra “Classics in the Wind 2026” will feature 12 soloists from 10 different countries, performing concertos by Bach, Mozart, Ravel, Mendelssohn and Saint-Saëns, the latter of which is set to saxophone. In addition, true masterpieces from the romantic and contemporary music repertoire will be performed: Eugène Ysaÿe’s “Fantaisie”, the violin concerto by American composer Erich Korngold, Antonín Dvořák’s cello concerto and Maurice Ravel’s “Tzigane”. Two gala concerts will take place on August 17 and 18 at the House of the Blackheads.

Galina Lanskaia
Violinist, soloist and chamber musician Galina Lanskaia is currently active in Paris, where she regularly performs in concerts, with her quartet and in various music projects.
As a versatile musician, he draws inspiration from the rich cultural life of Paris and expresses it in his diverse work.
Fasbi Yusuf
Fasbi Yusuf is an Indonesian pianist based in Maastricht, the Netherlands. He has won the American Protégé and Indonesian Piano Competitions and is actively performing internationally. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and is pursuing a Master of Arts at the Maastricht Conservatory. Fasbi founded the Classical Music On The House concert series, which presents solo and small ensemble performances with a focus on individual artistic expression. He is also involved with the Nefelibata New Music Collective, the Zuyd Baroque Ensemble and the Maastricht Kamerorkest, frequently collaborating with singers, composers and conductors.
Born and raised in a non-musical family in Central Java, he has performed as a soloist with the Classical Hugs Orchestra, Yayasan Musik Jakarta Orchestra and Volare Chamber Orchestra, and has performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall and the British Embassy in Jakarta. Passionate about chamber music, she has participated in the Apple Hill, Zodiac and Jakarta International Summer Music Festivals.
Elisabeth Gühring
Elisabeth studied with Professor Anke Dill (Preschool Education, HMDK Stuttgart) and Frederike von Gagern. She has won numerous awards at both national and international competitions, including several first prizes at the Bundeswettbewerb Jugend musiziert, the WDR-Klassik-Prize 2025, first prize at the Festival Verao Classico in Lisbon 2025, several prizes at the Aponte Competition in Tenerife 2025 and the S. Goldberg Competition 2025, the sponsorship prize with the highest score at the Carl Schröder Competition 2023 and first prize at the FLAME Competition in Paris 2022. Elisabeth has participated in master classes with A. Chumachenco, Midori, B. Kuschnir, S. Ashkenas, I. Turban, M. Barenboim and B. Schmid. Elisabeth plays in various chamber ensembles. She has performed solo with several orchestras, such as the Norddeutsche Philharmonie, the Bodensee-Philharmonie, the Lohorchester and is a member of the German National Youth Orchestra. Elisabeth is a scholarship holder of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and plays the Lorenzo Storion violin (Cremona, 1774) from the Deutsche Musikinstrumentenfond.
Christian Wachter
The Austrian-American Christian Wachter has been described in the French press as a “pianist of dazzling virtuosity and introspective depth”, who regularly performs in Paris and has given numerous concerts throughout Europe. He frequently appears as a soloist in venues such as the Salle Cortot, the Musée des Invalides and the Palais d’Iéna. He has also participated in festivals and as a concert soloist in the United States (under Philippe Entremont), in Kazan, Russia and in Mexico with the Camerata Oaxaca.
Calliope Smith
Violinist Calliope Smith (14), a ninth-grader at Stanford Online High School, is studying violin at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-School Academy with Simon James and Chen Zhao, and is applying her musical skills with Hiro David. Calliope has won awards at both international and local competitions, including the Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition, the Vancouver International Music Competition, the Odin Competition, the Chicago International Music Competition, the Nouvelles Étoiles Competition, the American Virtuoso International Music Competition, the California MTNA Competition, the New York International Artists Association Praelusio Competition, the Pacific Musical Society Competition, and the Enkor Competition.
Calliope has performed solo with the Uniart Orchestra in Paris, the Concerti Sinfonietta in Merkin Hall, the Butler Philharmonic in Ohio, and the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra. Calliope is also a keen chamber musician and recently gave a concert at the Barbro Osher Concert Hall with her piano quartet Cadentia, which won the Enkor award. She is also the first violinist of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. Calliope has played in solo and chamber music master classes with Midori, Gilbert Kalish, Kim Kashkashian, Erin Keefe, Ariana Kim, Kenneth Renshaw, and Kirill Troussov. In the summer of 2025, she performed at the Music@Menlo Young Performers Program, the Sarasate Academy in Spain, and Center Stage Strings in Michigan. In addition to playing the violin, she enjoys writing songs, baking, learning languages, and participating in Model UN.
Khaos Cook
Khaos began studying violin at the age of five and is currently studying with Nancy Zhou and Li-tan Hsu. Khaos has had the opportunity to study with a variety of teachers, including renowned soloists Stefan Jackiwi, Grigori Kalinovsky, and Helen Kim. She enjoys playing both solo repertoire and performing in ensembles. Khaos has performed as concertmaster with the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra and has participated in the Seattle Chamber Music Society Chamber Music Academy. Khaos made his solo orchestral debut with the Sempre Musick Orchestra. He has been invited to play with the Nashua Chamber Orchestra and the Olympia Symphony Orchestra for the 2025 season. In addition to playing the violin, Khaos also plays the piano, is an avid skier, and enjoys playing soccer. Khaos spends his free time reading science fiction, eating yogurt, and cuddling his mischievous golden noodle. Feeling a strong desire to give back to his community, Khaos founded the non-profit music organization Project CliKK. Through this initiative, Project CliKK aims to provide greater access and opportunities for music on both a local and global level.
