Paradise Lost: Ascension of Europe Tour Pt. 2

British gothic metal pioneers Paradise Lost will return to Estonia on February 21 to present their latest album Ascension. The legendary band will perform for the Estonian audience at Helitehas Club in Tallinn.

Formed in Halifax, England in 1988, Paradise Lost are among the founders of the death-doom and gothic metal genres, and their music has influenced countless later bands. Throughout their career, the band has sold over 2 million albums and performed at the world’s biggest heavy music festivals, including Wacken Open Air, Download Festival, Hellfest, Graspop Metal Meeting, as well as Ozzfest and Metalmania, firmly establishing their status as leaders of the genre.

Paradise Lost’s discography includes heavy music classics such as Gothic (1991), Icon (1993), and Draconian Times (1995), as well as more recent works, including Obsidian (2020) and their latest album Ascension, released in September 2025. Critics have described the band’s newest work as one of their most versatile and powerful in recent years.

The band’s current lineup consists of vocalist Nick Holmes, guitarists Gregor Mackintosh and Aaron Aedy, bassist Steve Edmondson, and returning drummer Jeff Singer. At concerts, Paradise Lost are known for their darkly atmospheric yet powerful live sound, captivating both long-time fans and new listeners alike.
