13TH OCTOBER AT TALLINN, NORDEA HALL
Special guest: TATI
Basta, the brightest representative of Russian melodic rap who has chosen his own distinctive creative path, will present his own pieces that have already become hits and the freshest compositions from his constantly developing repertory to the audience. In 2013, Basta (aka Nogano) was included in the list of 15 Russian performers of the year by the Time Out Magazine while the ‘Basta 4’ album was the third top-selling album in the Russian division of iTunes, as well as the most successful hip-hop product. His music is characterised by lyrics understandable for anyone and rhythmical melodies. Even people who are far from being rap fans like his songs.
For Basta, rap is the original style he uses to speak about eternal concepts: love, happiness or dramatic losses. At his concerts, the audience hear the other side of songs: complete sincerity, the acute feeling of romance in the air of Moscow Streets, soft recitative and heart-warming atmosphere. In each composition, regardless of when it was written, Basta manages to express himself and lay his soul bare before the audience so that any of them understands the thoughts and feelings that the performer wants to get across.
Each concert of the performer is an exceptionally spectacular and unconventional music event. He sings and raps to express his sincere and simple urban truth like, for example, in the song “Город” (“City“): “City, my city, you are close and so dear to me”. This is what the audience values and loves the singer for, repeating the lyrics of their favourite songs "Так плачет Весна" (“This is how the spring cries”), "Ты та" (“You’re the one”), "Игра" (“The game”), "Любовь без памяти" (“Love to distraction”) and many others.
The performer recalls in one of his interviews: “When I turned 16, I said, “Thanks for definite plans for life, everyone, I have my own – indefinite.”” Time has passed, and now Basta is one of the brightest and most talented discoveries in Russian music, revealing to us the indescribable sense of something close, understandable and dear in the lyrics of his songs.
During his Baltic tour, the performer will sing his best and new songs, leaving a part of himself in each member of the audience as he usually does.
