The traditional gala will bring to you a glamorous musical selection from the masterpieces of opera repertoire. The star of the evening is the winner of the Cardiff Singer of the World Kiri Te Kanawa Audience Award (2023) Julieth Lozano Rolong (Colombia). Cardiff Singer of the World is one of the most prestigious singing competitions in the world and Rolong charmed everyone with her charismatic performance. She has been described by critics as “Julieth Lozano has it all. Her soprano demonstrates great power and aesthetic refinement, and she shapes tricky lines with equal skill. She proves to be a splendid actor who can be cheeky, daring or seductive …” (musicomath.com). In addition to the soloists of the Estonian National Opera the concert will bring to you mezzo-soprano Marie Gautrot (France), tenor Mario Rojas (Spain) and baritone Gagik Vardanyan (Armenia).
