In the summer of 2018 Positivus Festival will return for the 12th time on 20, 21, and 22 July, filling the beautiful coastal venue in Salacgriva with more dazzling live shows from well-known and established stars, cutting edge emerging artists, a large number of Baltic acts and other surprises that are not to be missed. The Early Bird tickets will go on sale this Wednesday, October 18, and for a limited three days time will be available for the lowest price.
From October 18-20 you will be able to buy Positivus Festival tickets through PositivusFestival.com and www.piletilevi.ee at a special Early Bird price. The 3-Day tickets without Camping will cost € 69, with Camping - € 77. Other ticket types, including 1-Day tickets and 2-Day tickets, will go on sale in 2018.
The dust might have settled in Salacgriva after almost 30 thousand festival-goers enjoyed one of the sunniest festivals of the decade, but the longing for more music and fun is still there. The weekend of 2017 saw the likes of Pixies, Ellie Goulding, Alt-J, The Lumineers, Rae Sremmurd, José González, Maxïmo Park, JP Cooper, Grandmaster Flash, Mew, Trad.Attack! and many more descend upon the five festival stages for three days of epic music experience.
“It only takes a few hours at Positivus Festival to find yourself wondering: What if the best festival in the world is in the Latvian woods?” wrote American music journalist Melissa Locker in The Line of Best Fit review of this year's festival. “The Positivus line-up spanned all genres and styles, and frankly could show Reading & Leeds, Glastonbury, and Isle of Wight a few things about programming diversity. If you’re looking for a perfect mini-break that combines music and adventure with a fun passport stamp, it would be hard to find a better option than Positivus.”
Music writer Joe Gamp reviewed Positivus for Metro and said that “with comfort, good vibes and quirkiness at the heart of the overall experience, Positivus Festival remains a hidden gem in the international festival calendar: a place where you can catch great music and lap up the benefits of a relaxing holiday without having to break a sweat, or your wallet, in the process.” In his mind, Positivus is “capable of delivering a heavy-hitting line-up and world class experience, within an intimate and peaceful setting, and Positivus’ family-friendly, easy going attitude seems the perfect remedy to festival debauchery.”
Meanwhile Max Pilley in his The 405 review said Positivus was “spacious and relaxed, how it was always supposed to be, at a time when the festival industry is more competitive than ever, the UK’s entries have become congested, almost cumbersome.”
