For the first time in Estonia’s history, EST Promotions and the NGO Kindel Käsi (www.estboxing.ee) in cooperation with GIGA and Enterprise Estonia will bring you a professional championship match in boxing. The evening’s highlight will be the former European professional boxing champion and the world’s number five heavyweight boxer, returning from a long injury break, Robert Helenius.
Coming to Tallinn to defend his WBO European Champion middleweight title, will be Artur Akavov, a man who represented Estonia last decade and is now aiming for the world’s top.
World Boxing Organisation is a professional boxing organisation recognised as one of the four major world championship series, whose world championship titles are held by Wladimir Klitschko and Manny Pacquiao.
Never before has there been a professional boxing event at this level on Estonia’s turf. Broadcasts of the main matches will reach millions of viewers through TV channels, which means it will be one of the biggest internationally broadcasted sporting events in Estonia’s history!
The evening will begin with performances from Estonia’s best six amateur boxers. Appearances by the World University Champion Rain Karlson, Ainar Karlson, Kaupo Arro and others. Also Estonia’s most acknowledged fighter Rain Kärkinen will be fighting his first professional boxing match.
Known Estonian live bands and DJ Möls will be performing at the event. The after-party will take place in club Hollywood.
