One of the best British live-rock bands – the KASABIAN will be the main performer on the opening day of Õllesummer Festival.

KASABIAN, who releases a new album in April and will be a headliner in prestigious festivals like Reading and Sziget, enters the stage on July 5th at the Tallinn Song festival grounds at the Õllesummer Festival.

KASABIAN is often described as the representative of indie rock, but Sergio Pizzorno/Serge, the band’s guitarist claims to hate indie rock and doesn’t find the repertoire of the band fall into that category. The band plays a mix of electronic music and rock and is without a doubt one of the leading names among British bands in rock- and live band categories.

The name “Kasabian” was inspired by the name of Linda Kasabian, the driver who helped the US serial killer Charles Manson on his escape. It conveys the mysterious and dark feeling that follows the band’s musical creations.

The whole world looks forward to their album which is due in April. Serge has commented on the topic: “Last year was the best year in my life. The whole world was turned upside down. But I was thinking that this will be the best year of my life. I wrote an amusing pop-album that is quite the opposite of the world around it. Such was my reaction to counter this situation.”

Although the band is described as one of the best live-performers today and well-known fashion and car brands want to work with them (one of their New York shows was styled by a top fashion brand Mulberry) the guys are said to be modest and spend their free time in their hometown Leicester, where they hang out with their childhood friends.

The next foreign performer will be announced in the next coming weeks. In addition to the foreign guests, the majority of Estonian popular artists will perform on the 8 stages of Õllesummer festival.  The 24th Festival Õllesummer will take place at the Tallinn Song Festival grounds on July 5-8, 2017. The pre-sale price for a day ticket is 15€ and 35€ for the whole festival pass. Ticket prices will rise before the Festival
