Estonia’s biggest festival, Õllesummer (Beer Summer), will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in the upcoming summer and now, the names of the first artists who will be performing on 3–6 July at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds will be revealed. True to form for a jubilee celebration, the list of artists is truly outstanding for any music lover.

Tallinn Song Festival Grounds Welcomes The Biggest Ever Õllesummer Held For The 22nd Time

The construction works for Õllesummer, which will start on Wednesday have lasted throughout the entire weekend. Seven stages and the entire territory servicing the event must be ready by Wednesday at 17:00.

 

Approximately 100 trucks and transport vehicles bring the sound and light equipment and restaurant and cafe furniture for Õllesummer. The vendors will bring over 300 fridges, which will cool over 100,000 litres of beverages and over 40 tons of food at the song festival grounds during four days. 

 

Over 70 food and drink selling points and other service points needed for this major event will be built for the festival. Over 3,000 employees and assisting personnel work in relation to Õllesummer.

The 22nd consecutive Õllesummer will start at the Tallinn song festival grounds on Wednesday at 17:00. The main act of the opening day is the British rock band Placebo. The main number on 2 July will be the Russian superstar Nyusha, on 3 July Tanel Padar & The Sun will give their show and Led Zeppelin Session tribute to the legendary rock band will take the main stage. The biggest foreign artist to perform on Saturday, 4 July will  be the well-known poprock band The Cardigans. Before them, Koit Toome will give his show “20 Years on Stage”.

 

Marje Hansar who has been the main organiser of Õllesummer for 22 years emphasised that the main task of the team is to ensure a fun but safe festival and all the preparations have been done for that “The interest in the festival is increasing with each year and we would like to fulfil the expectations,” added Marje Hansar.

The organiser strongly recommends arriving by public transport, because the parking opportunities around the song festival grounds are extremely limited. The organiser would also like to remind that visitors cannot bring their own food and drink, sharp objects, umbrellas and other items that may disturb other visitors, to the territory. We are also asking to observe the instructions of traffic regulators and security personnel. Drivers should consider traffic restrictions and temporary traffic signs. 

 

No entrance will be allowed with video cameras that require professional shoulder mount or stand, and professional photo cameras, which are cameras with removable lens. Visitors can bring regular hand and digital video cameras and cameras with built-in lenses. 

 

Day tickets are available at the price of 19 euros and festival passes at the price of 39 euros.
